About

AlfaGov builds software for the senior officers accountable for government transformation. We are a supplier to government, not part of it, and nothing we publish carries government endorsement.

The company was founded by John Burns, who spent around nine years in public sector transformation consulting at Deloitte — business analysis, product management, and the pre-procurement and business case work that decides whether a programme goes ahead. The products are built on that, on the published guidance, and on the public record of what goes wrong.

We are based at Ormeau Baths in Belfast. The platform runs on Microsoft Azure with UK-resident inference.

We publish what we build, including what it does not do. A demonstration that hides its limits is not evidence of anything.
